Full Itinerary
1. Transfer to the Starting Point | 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
At 8:00 a.m., you will be picked up from your hotel or another agreed-upon location in Cusco and transferred by tourist transport to the starting point of the experiential activity. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, during which you will appreciate the characteristic landscapes of the high Andean region.
2. Welcome and Introduction to the Community | 10:00 a.m.
Around 10:00 a.m., upon arrival, local hosts will welcome you and provide a general presentation about the community, its customs, social organization, and way of life. This introduction helps contextualize the experience and strengthens cultural exchange.
3. Participation in Cultural and Traditional Activities | 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., visitors actively participate in daily community activities, which may include livestock farming and agriculture, as well as demonstrations of traditional techniques. This stage offers a direct immersion in local daily life.
4. Gastronomic Experience and Textile Workshop | 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
From 12:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., the community gastronomic experience takes place, which includes the preparation and tasting of a typical lunch made with local products. During this time, the activity is complemented by a traditional weaving workshop, where ancestral techniques and the use of cultural elements such as the huayruro seed are presented.
5. Local Rituals and Traditional Dances | 1:30 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Between 1:30 p.m. At 3:00 p.m., participants witness and, optionally, participate in traditional rituals and local dances, cultural expressions that reflect the Andean worldview and strengthen community identity.
6. Closing and Return | 3:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Starting at 3:00 p.m., participants say goodbye to their local hosts and begin their return trip to Cusco in tourist transport, arriving at approximately 6:00 p.m., thus concluding the immersive experience.
