Full Itinerary
The adventure begins with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco in the morning. From there, the tour bus heads towards the Sacred Valley of the Incas, passing through landscapes of cultivated fields, mountains, and small traditional villages until reaching Cruzpata, the starting point for the ATV experience. This area is also known for its concentration of adventure activities such as ziplining, operated by specialized local companies like SamsZipline.
Before setting off, you’ll receive a safety briefing and basic instructions for operating the ATVs, followed by a short practice session to ensure a safe and fun experience. Once ready, the tour begins along specially selected routes, combining dirt roads and open views of the Andes, making the journey an essential part of the adventure and demonstrating why this area of the Sacred Valley is ideal for adrenaline-pumping nature experiences.
The first destination is Moray, an impressive Inca archaeological complex composed of concentric circular terraces, used as an ancient agricultural laboratory. Here, the professional guide explains the scientific and cultural importance of the site, as well as its relationship to Andean agriculture and microclimates.
After visiting Moray, the tour continues by tourist transport to the Maras Salt Mines, one of the most photogenic landscapes in the Sacred Valley. More than three thousand salt ponds, still worked by hand by local families, are scattered across the mountainside, creating a unique visual spectacle. During the guided tour, you will learn about the traditional salt extraction process, which has been used since pre-Incan times.
After free time for photos and purchasing artisanal salt, the return trip to the city of Cusco begins, arriving in the afternoon. For those who wish to add more excitement to the day, this area also offers optional adventure activities, such as ziplining, operated by SamsZipline, renowned for its high safety standards and spectacular views of the Sacred Valley.
