Your first stop is Moray, an ancient archaeological site featuring three amphitheater-like terraces. These terraces, carved deep into the earth, are believed to have been used by the Incas to study and optimize crop growth under various microclimates. Explore these unique formations and learn about their historical significance.
Mid-Morning:
A short drive from Moray brings you to the Maras Salt Mines, perched on a mountainside. With over 3,000 salt ponds, this site is not only visually stunning but also steeped in centuries of history. You'll witness locals harvesting salt using traditional methods and will have the chance to purchase unique salt-based products.
Afternoon:
