Itinerary
The adventure begins with a pick-up from your hotel in Cusco to start the journey to the province of Anta, crossing valleys, mountains, and traditional Andean communities. Along the way, the landscape gradually transforms, revealing imposing snow-capped peaks and vast high Andean plains.
Before beginning the hike, you’ll stop for a nutritious breakfast, ideal for acclimatizing and preparing for the trek. Afterward, you’ll continue to the trailhead leading to Humantay Lagoon, one of the most beautiful bodies of water in Cusco, nestled at the foot of the Humantay mountain.
The hike is conducted at a leisurely pace, allowing you to fully appreciate the natural surroundings and panoramic views. Throughout the trek, your guide will share information about the geography, the Andean worldview, and the spiritual significance of the lagoon for the local communities.
Upon arrival, the lagoon will surprise you with its intense turquoise hues, creating a perfect setting to relax, take photographs, and connect with nature. After some free time, the descent to the meeting point begins, followed by a hearty lunch.
Finally, the return journey to the city of Cusco begins, concluding an unforgettable experience in the heart of the Andean wilderness.
