Itinerary
The experience begins with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco, followed by a journey south through traditional villages and expansive Andean landscapes. Along the way, the scenery gradually transforms, revealing majestic mountains, open fields, and herds of alpacas and llamas.
Before starting the hike, you’ll stop for a hearty breakfast, perfect for preparing for your adventure. Then, the tour continues to the starting point of the trek to Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca), one of Peru’s most breathtaking natural wonders.
The hike is at a moderate pace, allowing you to fully appreciate the high-altitude scenery and the tranquility of the surroundings. Along the trail, your guide will share insights into the geography, local culture, and the significance of Vinicunca for the Andean communities.
Upon reaching the summit, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of the multicolored mountain, formed by natural minerals that create a landscape unlike any other in the world. You’ll have free time to relax, take photos, and soak in the moment.
After the descent, lunch is served in the area before beginning the return trip to Cusco, concluding a day filled with nature, adventure, and a connection to the Andes.
